DustMachine: A Lo-Fi Mechanical Synth

For our third week project, we modified a 1992 Hing Hon EK-001 synthesizer, adding pitch/tempo control, glitch button, CRT noise switch, harmonic overtones, and much more!
We also designed a unique noise instrument to spark creativity and help explore interesting and creative sound ideas.

Prepared Noise Instrument :

The Prepared Noise Instrument features an old telephone bell, two springs (one long, one short), two rubber bands, and a mounting piece — but of course, all elements can be swapped out depending on the user’s creativity. You can attach anything to the Noise Box!
A 3-way switch allows you to mute or activate the internal microphone, or route only the Noise Box sound through the Line Out to external mixers or effects units
